Hopelessness, panic and despair. Personal life is a mess. The global pandemic is unsettling and
depressing. Fears and financial pressures hit our communities and families hard. Loved ones
and co-workers are dying, young and old. Each day is a total unknown. What’s next?
“GOD! Help me!” We feel cornered with no help in sight. We look to God for fresh hope. He
alone understands. He knows how to fix rejection and loneliness.
“God! HELP me!” The plea comes out of desperation and feeling totally hemmed in and helpless
in our despair. Our minds and hearts long for deep peace.
“GOD! Help ME!” This is personal at a time of deep spiritual insight. It’s the cry of the unfulfilled
heart. The only thing that matters is knowing He hears me and loves ME. He alone has the power
to make things right.
The good news: He offers His intervention! “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened,
and I will give you rest.” He cares for you and is looking for you.
Believe that fact in all your tears, broken dreams and abuse. Worst of all are the regrets of hurtful
choices and actions and the awful consequences.
The real good news: He will help. It all starts when we connect with Him and are at peace with
Him. The truth? Our sins are a serious problem. Can God help when we are not on speaking
terms with Him?
Start connecting. Jesus already paid for all your sins when He died on the cross in Jerusalem
almost 2000 years ago. Tell Him you are sorry for ignoring Him. This will be hard to do. Ask Him
to forgive you and clean up your life and conscience. Turn your life over to Him. Thank Him for
hearing the cry of your soul. It’s a new life!
Now you can talk to Him about the help you need; the hopelessness; the guilt; the fear of death;
the ruined finances; the deep regrets; whatever hurts.
Write it all out. Take your time. This is the moment of healing and hope. You will want to read it
again and see the help God is bringing. Trust God to help you in His time and in His way. Thank
Him in advance for what He definitely will do.
“Please, God! Help ME!” That’s a great prayer. You will laugh again!
